Programs, Practices, and Policy Change

United For ALICE provides a comprehensive and unbiased picture of financial hardship across the U.S. Our network of partners use the ALICE measures to highlight the challenges ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) households face to inspire action and generate innovative solutions that promote financial stability. These programs, practices, and policies improve access to affordable housing, high quality child care and education, healthy food, health care, transportation, workforce training, and more.

Use the search bar and filters below to view examples of how United Ways, foundations, academic institutions, businesses, and other partners across sectors are turning data into action to make a difference for ALICE in their communities.

Tips for using the keyword search:

Separate your search terms with spaces. A search for financial assistance will return results for financial or assistance. Records found with both search terms will be given a higher relevance.

Use quotes to search for specific text. A search for "financial assistance" will return only results that match the exact text within the quotes.

Do not use commas or semicolons to separate your search terms.
